Bad News

Hi guys,
I just wanted to do a quick post to say that I probably won't be blogging much this week because my dad had a heart attack on Friday and he has been in hospital since then.  He is over the worst of it, thank god, and he's on the mend slowly.  It was just a shock to all of us because he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink that much and he is active and does a fair amount of exercise.  They think it's hereditary so it's the luck of the draw really.  I have been visiting him every day with Chris and trying to cheer him up and keep his mind off things.  His sense of humour is definitely intact because he still has the liverpool cheeky chappy side to him!

When things like this happen, it really makes you take stock of your life and realise how lucky you are to have your loved ones around you.  It's sad that sometimes it takes a shock like this to remind you to live every day to the fullest, but it's something we all have to keep in the forefront of our minds.

  5. Thinking of you hun, my Dad had a heart attack about 6 years ago, and it was completely terrifying as he was only 48. He had to have surgery, but he has made a full recovery and was hiking four months later. Sending positive thoughts your way. xxx
