Makeup Crush: Kelly Rowland

Whilst flicking through the MTV music channels, I spotted Kelly Rowland's makeup in the 'What A Feeling' video and it struck me how summery and pretty she looks.  I love the neutral cool-toned eye with a pop of vivid blue on the lower lashline...it's an easy way to add a touch of interest to your summer makeup without going overboard with colour.

I guess you could even replace the tropical blue for a pastel lilac or more of a green turquoise.  The most important thing is to keep the colour bright, fresh and reasonably light, otherwise it could drag your eyes down and that's the last thing you want.  The skin for this look HAS to be completely flawless and glowing so it would require a really good illuminating primer, foundation with good coverage and a radiant highlighting product.  Obviously you have to vary the tone of the shades depending on the colour of your skin but these are the products I would personally use....

I would say you could recreate this look with the following products:

Face

Mac Strobe Cream or Liquid
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
A good loose setting powder like YSL Semi-Loose Powder
Clarins Mosaique Bronzing Compact
Nars Dolce Vita Blush
MAC Soft & Gentle MSF

Eyes

Urban Decay Sin Primer Potion
Too Faced Totally Toasted Beige e/s
MAC Satin Taupe e/s
MAC Beauty Marked e/s
MAC Vanilla Pigment
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Electric or Flipside
Benefit Bad Gal Liner in Charcoal
MAC Freshwater e/s
Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Ardell 110 Lashes

Lips

MAC High Tea
MAC Underage Lipglass
